Trade lighting supply

For distributors, wholesalers and fit-out contractors, “trade lighting” means dependable supply on terms that fit a reselling or contracting business. Ours:

• FOB pricing by quantity, quoted in 24 hours, and DDP for the UK and EU.

Architectural & specification supply

For architects and specifiers, the job is making sure what is installed is what was specified. We support that with IES and LDT photometric files that can be measured for project specifications. We can prepare a lighting layout for qualified projects. A scheme can then be proven to target lux, uniformity and UGR before issue. We hold specifications and supply the matching product against them, with custom CCT, beam angle and finish available at production. If you choose a fixture from an architectural lighting supplier, the photometrics behind it should be real: measured on the fitting, not modelled from a marketing sheet.

Production and testing at the Zhongshan base

Quality is stated as things you can see and check. Fixtures are built on an SMT line and assembly line at our Zhongshan base, and every batch passes through in-house test equipment before it ships:

• Photometrics: a goniophotometer measures luminous flux and beam distribution, so the output and beam angle on the datasheet are measured on the fixture, not copied from the LED supplier.
• Electrical: insulation and hipot testing for LVD, and an EMC setup for conducted and radiated emissions.
• Environment and durability: thermal cycling across high and low operating temperatures, IPX5 water-jet ingress, IK impact on housings, salt-spray corrosion on metal parts, UV ageing on housing materials, and glow-wire and needle-flame flammability on plastics.
• Shipping: a vibration table simulates transport so what arrives matches what left the line.

On top of that, every order gets pre-shipment inspection with a report and an ageing test on every batch, with the driver brand named in the proforma invoice. Inspection reports are shared on request.

Markets we supply

We ship factory-direct to every market below. What changes between them is the supply voltage, the listing or test reports that can be arranged, and the Incoterms we quote.

• United Kingdom. UK trade distributors, wholesalers and fit-out contractors buy FOB or DDP, with CE documentation and the GPSR position confirmed before the order.
• Europe, including Germany. European contractors and specifiers working to DIN/EN standards buy on the same terms, and German buyers can read the range in German on our German-language pages.
• Middle East (GCC). Project buyers are quoted FOB, with the documentation for the destination market confirmed before you order.
• United States. US buyers are quoted FOB, with 120-277 V drivers and the listing position set out on the United States page.
• Australia and New Zealand. Buyers are quoted FOB or CIF, with the RCM and test-report position set out on the Australia and New Zealand page.

How long does a commercial lighting order take from China?

A quotation comes back within 24 hours, standard samples are ready in 7 days, and orders of around 500 units ship in 25–35 days from the deposit, with larger or customised orders confirmed on the proforma invoice.

The 25–35 days is the production window for an order of around 500 units, counted from the day the deposit clears, and it is restated on the proforma invoice with your own quantity. A range such as LED track lighting is quoted within 24 hours like any other.

What makes a lead time longer?

Quantity is the first factor: an order well above 500 units is confirmed on the proforma invoice rather than against the 25–35 day window. Custom options add time. So do samples that need new tooling, which are quoted with their own lead time. Listings or test reports arranged per project are confirmed on the quotation with the lead time they add. Should I buy FOB or DDP from a Chinese lighting factory?

Buy FOB if you have a freight forwarder and want to control shipping, customs and duty yourself; buy DDP if you want us to carry the freight, the UK or EU customs clearance and the duty to your address. We quote both for the UK and the EU.

For the UK and EU we quote FOB or DDP. The United States is FOB only, and Australia and New Zealand are FOB or CIF.

Which should a first order use?

A buyer without a forwarder or an import account usually finds DDP simpler for a first order. A distributor already importing from China keeps FOB and its own forwarder. This is common practice and not a rule from Incoterms.

How do I pay for a first order?

By bank transfer (T/T): 50% deposit when you confirm the order and 50% before shipment, paid to the company account named on the proforma invoice.

Three things to check before the first transfer, because an invoice is the easiest thing in this trade to forge:

• The beneficiary name on the transfer matches the company named on the proforma invoice.
• Confirm the bank details by phone or WhatsApp with the person you have been dealing with, not by replying to the email that carried them.
• Treat any emailed change of bank details as suspect until you have confirmed it by phone, however ordinary the message looks.
